BNP Paribas Norway Branch, Corporate & Institutional Banking is seeking to recruit a temporary Operational risks and Permanent Control Officer for the Nordic region, based in Oslo or Stockholm ( 1-year contract, starting 1st of January 2024)

About your job
Part of a 5-members team, you will report to the Head of OPC Nordics.
Working hand in hand with the Business and other specialized independent control functions, you will be responsible in managing operational risks (all risks including Fraud, Third Party, Conduct, Compliance, Regulatory, ICT risks, and others risk types) of a business or function front-to-back, from the risk identification to the implementation of the appropriate control framework to ensure that they are properly mitigated.
To achieve this, you will support the Business in reporting their incidents and defining action plans to continuously improve processes. You will drive risks assessment exercise, perform or coordinate control plans and regularly report the outcome to the top management.
To build up and spread awareness of the operational risk framework, you will provide training, and regular tailored communication to the staff. You will participate and/or organize relevant governance meetings such as the Internal Control Committee to help top management getting the overview of the entity’s operation risk management.
Who are we looking for?
You are a positive and energetic person with previous successful experience in operational risks management. Background in an Investment Bank or financial services would be an advantage. You are fluent in English, speaking a Nordic language would be a plus.
You can demonstrate strong analytical skills as well as the ability to work with a risk-based approach.
You are curious, eager to learn and enjoy working in a team. You show strong communication skills both orally and written and you are comfortable in engaging with various counterparts.
You are a self-starter, rigorous and can work in autonomy.
